Role Summary

We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Regional Vendor & Construction Project Manager to oversee suppliers, manage construction-related activities, and support our global teams with structured, dashboard-driven project management.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of construction project experience, strong vendor management skills, and is flexible with working hours to support multi-time-zone teams.


Key Responsibilities

Construction Oversight

  • Supervise construction, refurbishment, civil works, and site-preparation activities across Nigeria and regional countries.
  • Conduct site visits, verify work quality, ensure safety standards, and document progress.
  • Follow up proactively on delays, risks, and needed corrections.
  • Support procurement and cost control for local materials and contractor services.

Vendor & Supplier Management

  • Manage current vendors and subcontractors, ensuring quality and accountability.
  • Source, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers for construction and operational needs.
  • Negotiate pricing, scope, and performance expectations.
  • Maintain vendor dashboards and performance tracking.

Regional Project Management

  • Build and maintain project dashboards and MS Project schedules.
  • Track milestones, deliverables, risks, and cross-border activities.
  • Provide weekly status updates and structured reporting to global teams.
  • Ensure smooth communication between local execution teams and regional stakeholders.

Operational Support

  • Assist with logistics, documentation, and coordination across multiple sites and countries.
  • Maintain up-to-date files: budgets, timelines, quotes, contracts, progress reports, photos.
  • Support operational problem-solving and act quickly when issues arise.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction project management or site supervision.
  • Strong vendor management, negotiation, and contractor coordination skills.
  • Hands-on experience with site work evaluation and quality oversight.
  • Proficiency with dashboards (Excel / Google Sheets / Power BI).
  • Proficiency with MS Project or similar scheduling tools.
  • Strong communication and reporting skills in English.
  • Ability to work proactively, anticipate next steps, and follow up without being prompted.
  • Flexible with working hours when required (due to multi-time-zone coordination).
  • Available and dedicated to supporting time-sensitive tasks and regional operations.
  • Based in Nigeria with willingness to travel across nearby countries.

Nice to Have

  • PMP, PRINCE2, or other project management certification.
  • Experience working in multi-country construction or operations environments.
  • Background in procurement, cost management, or facility upgrades.
