Group Corporate & Legal Affairs Manager
Company: Live Telco Group
Experience: 6–10+ years
Employment: Full-time
About Live Telco
Live Telco is an international telecommunications infrastructure company operating across multiple jurisdictions in Africa, the Middle East and other markets.
We develop and operate telecommunications infrastructure for major Satellite operators and work with regulators, government authorities, industrial and economic zones, landlords, suppliers and partners across several countries.
Live Telco operates with a lean, agile and entrepreneurial structure. We value speed, flexibility, accountability and practical solutions. As our international footprint continues to grow, we are looking to strengthen the corporate and legal framework supporting the Group while maintaining the agility that defines our organisation.
The Role
We are seeking a Group Corporate & Legal Affairs Manager to manage and coordinate the corporate, regulatory, contractual and legal affairs of Live Telco Group internationally.
This is a hands-on international role reporting directly to the CEO.
The successful candidate will ensure that our companies, corporate structures, licences, operating sites and contractual commitments remain properly structured, documented and compliant across the jurisdictions in which we operate.
The role requires someone who is commercially minded and solution-oriented. The objective is not simply to identify legal risks, but to understand them, assess their materiality and help management find practical and legally sound solutions that allow the business to move forward.
Key Responsibilities
International Corporate Affairs
Maintain oversight of the Group’s international companies, subsidiaries, branches and corporate structures. Ensure corporate registrations, statutory filings, shareholder and board documentation, powers of attorney, beneficial ownership information and other corporate requirements remain accurate and up to date.
Licences & Regulatory Compliance
Maintain a central register of licences, permits and regulatory approvals across the Group. Monitor renewals, reporting obligations and conditions attached to licences and coordinate with internal teams and local advisers to ensure continued compliance.
Sites, Zones & Landlord Obligations
Ensure Live Telco complies with its obligations toward industrial zones, economic/free zones, government authorities, landlords and site owners. This includes construction and development milestones, commencement-of-operation requirements, reporting, permits, insurance and other contractual or regulatory obligations.
Contracts & Commercial Legal Affairs
Draft, review and negotiate customer contracts, supplier agreements, leases, NDAs, consultancy agreements, subcontracting arrangements and other commercial documents.
Identify contractual risks and recommend practical solutions and alternative wording that protect Live Telco’s interests while allowing transactions and projects to proceed efficiently.
Contract Performance & Claims
Work with operational teams to ensure Live Telco’s deliveries remain compliant with contractual commitments.
Where delays, disputes, claims or performance issues arise, review the relevant contracts and determine Live Telco’s rights, protections and remedies, seeking the most commercially favourable and legally defensible position for the Group.
Employment & HR Legal Documentation
Draft and maintain employment contracts, consultancy agreements, confidentiality and intellectual-property provisions and other employment-related documentation across the Group.
External Counsel & Authorities
Coordinate local lawyers, corporate service providers and regulatory advisers in the different jurisdictions where Live Telco operates. Understand local regulations, laws and obligations
The successful candidate is not expected to know the law of every jurisdiction personally. They are, however, expected to identify issues, manage them centrally, determine when specialist local advice is required and ensure that the appropriate actions are implemented.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a qualified lawyer or corporate legal professional with approximately 6–10+ years of relevant experience.
International corporate experience is essential. Candidates should have practical experience working with companies, subsidiaries, branches, corporate structures or commercial operations across multiple countries or jurisdictions.
The ideal candidate should have experience in several of the following areas:
- International corporate structures and governance
- Establishment and maintenance of overseas subsidiaries or branches
- Commercial contract drafting and negotiation
- Regulatory licences and permits
- International B2B operations
- Employment and consultancy agreements
- Leases, land agreements or infrastructure/site agreements
- Managing external counsel across different jurisdictions
- Working with government authorities and regulators
Experience within telecommunications, infrastructure, satellite, technology, data centres, construction or energy would be an advantage.
Excellent written and spoken English and strong legal drafting skills are essential.
The Type of Person We Are Looking For
Live Telco is a small and highly agile organisation. We do not want to introduce unnecessary layers of approval, bureaucracy or processes that slow down commercial and operational decisions.
The successful candidate must therefore combine legal discipline with commercial judgement.
What We Offer
This position provides significant exposure to international corporate, regulatory and commercial matters across multiple jurisdictions, with direct interaction with the CEO, senior management, international clients, authorities and external legal advisers.
The successful candidate will have considerable autonomy and the opportunity to progressively take ownership of the Group’s worldwide corporate and legal affairs.
